With our worship and praise, our goal is to raise funds to support those who are unable to pay for treatments and medical expenses. We have a heart for supporting individuals who have a rare disease requiring special treatments outside of normal insurance coverage.
“Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.”
Psalm 100:1–2
Nico Salvatore Ruby was born on March 25, 2020 to Dominic and Monica Ruby. Despite a healthy pregnancy and passing all newborn screenings, Nico stopped breathing on his third day of life and spent the next 29.5 days battling seizures in the NICU. After completing a genetic epilepsy panel, it was found that Nico was born with a very rare, catastrophic and terminal epilepsy syndrome called Malignant Migrating Partial Seizures of Infancy (aka MMPSI) as a result of the KCNT1 gene mutation which is unique to him.
Nico is one in 3.6 million literally - only 200 cases have been identified worldwide. There is currently no cure for KCNT1-related epilepsy. At best, there are resources available to help manage the condition and treat the various symptoms. At six months old, Nico was experiencing up to 160 seizures a day. He has made considerable progress since then with the help of many medications, CBD and the Keto diet - now averaging 1-2 seizures daily. He is also in many therapies to help give him the best chance of a comfortable life as possible - vision, speech, occupational and physical. Nico radiates joy and light - he is adored by many and surrounded by love every single day.
Four years ago my sweet friend Julie was diagnosed with breast cancer. Today she is still fighting. God has moved in ways she never thought possible, opened doors she never new existed, and brought forth an army of warriors who have prayed over her and the entire family during this fight.
One of Julie's dear friends has prayed fervently to the Lord looking for ways to help. Trusting God she has opened a go fund me for Julie and her family.
John 15:5 says:
“I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.”
Julie would be the first to tell you, she wants nothing more than to abide. Abide in him, the healer, the author, the perfector of faith, and her Savior. To bear fruit, and to glorify God. Julie knows firsthand she can do NOTHING without abiding in Him. She would tell you this has been so hard, but God has been so good.
Julie has been married to her husband Mike for 23 years, and they have four kids. Aaron is 18 a senior in high school. Andrew, Beau, & Caroline are 13 in the 8th grade.
Knowing Mike & Julie for over 15 years now I thought raising triplets would be one of the most challenging battles they would face. God was preparing them for a new battle. Join us any way you feel led to lift up Julie and her amazing family.
The funds raised will greatly help the family with both incurred and future treatment expenses.
We’ve seen God move, he’s moved the mountains, and we believe that He will do it again!
